Golden Apple Award 2025

Each year, the Golden Apple Award is presented to individuals who have gone above and beyond to serve our community — and this year is no exception.

After reviewing several nominees this year, the Applefest Committee is proud to announce that Allen and Pam Keith have been chosen to receive the Golden Apple Award for 2025. The award is presented yearly by the Applefest Committee to recognize and honor people in the Marionville community who have worked and dedicated themselves to serving the Marionville community and its various activities.

The Keiths have been married for 13 years and have five children, 23 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Pam has served with the Applefest Association for years, many of those as president. Even though she held a full-time job, Pam managed the Applefest High School Scholarship Program along with the various other contests that are held annually. She worked with the many vendors who came and has built very long-lasting relationships with many of them.

Allen and Pam would schedule their vacation days around each September festival so that they could work on the stage, electrical, booth assignments, and security patrol on Friday and Saturday. Pam has always been the upfront person, while Allen worked silently behind the scenes — going above and beyond whatever he was asked to do.

The Keiths have put on hold their dream of building a new home while they have served the community of Marionville. It is for this, and many other reasons, that the Marionville Applefest Committee awards Allen and Pam Keith the 2025 Annual Golden Apple Award.

Thank you, Allen and Pam, for giving Marionville such a great legacy to live up to and such great acts of service to follow.
Congratulations!
